The 2nd Match of the Big Bash League 2021-22 was played yesterday between Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat at Manuka Oval, Canberra, In which Sydney Thunder won the match by 7 wickets.
Sydney Thunder won the toss and invited Brisbane Heat to bat first, Brisbane Heat batted first, started the inning very badly lost 2 wickets in just 13 runs, Chris Lynn was dismissed just for 9 runs, and Max Bryant was dismissed just for 5 runs, after that, Ben Duckett and Sam Heazlett came to bat, handled the inning and played a brilliant half-century partnership of 83 runs for the third wicket, the third wicket has gone for 99 runs in the first ball of the 15th over, Sam Heazlett dismissed after playing a brilliant inning of 42 runs with the help of 3 boundaries in 37 balls, next batsman Jack Wildermuth came to bat, and he dismissed just for 1 run as fourth wicket in farst ball of the 16th over, the team score was 107 runs, next batsman Jimmy Peirson came to bat, after few moments, Ben Duckett also dismissed after playing a brilliant inning of 46 runs with the help of 4 boundaries in 35 balls as fifth wicket in fourth ball of the 16th over, the team score was 110 runs, followed by James Bazley came to bat, meanwhile the sixth wicket has also gone for 111 runs in second ball of the 17th over, Jimmy Peirson dismissed just for 3 runs in 5 balls, next batsman Xavier Bartlett came to bat, and handled the inning, the seventh wicket has gone for 124 runs in second ball of the 19th over, James Bazley dismissed just for 1 run, followed by Mujeeb Ur Rahman came to bat, and he dismissed without scoring as eighth wicket in first ball of the last over, the team score was 130 runs, next batsman Matthew Kuhnemann came to bat, and he reamins unbeaten for 1 run with Xavier Bartlett, and Xavier Bartlett played an unbeaten inning of 26 runs with the help of 1 six and 3 boundaries in just 18 balls. In this way, Brisbane Heat batted first after losing the toss, scored 140 runs for losing 8 wickets in stipulated 20 overs, and set a target of 141 runs for Sydney Thunder.

In this way, Sydney Thunder chasing 141 runs in the second inning, they achieved the target very easily for the loss of just 3 wickets in 18.1 overs and won the match by 7 wickets.
Brisbane Heat bowlers Liam Guthrie took 2 wickets for 32 runs, and Xavier Bartlett got 1 wicket.
Sydney Thunder batsman Alex Ross was selected as the best player of the match, he played a brilliant quick half-century and victory inning of 61 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 7 boundaries in just 46 balls.
