Tutorial on How to Promote Your Blog Using @risingstargame Drops

in r2cornell •  4 months ago

Getting yourself noticed as a content creator on any platform is a very difficult one. The only easy way to gain a large percentage of eyeballs on your content is being extremely early into a community. Today I learned from @azircon that I am in the Top 1000 accounts by HIVE Power. The account ranked 2500th only has 4503 HIVE Power. In that sense, many of as are extremely early adopters. That does not mean there isn't room to grow.

Take a look at the trending page. If you do not see yourself there regularly, there is room for you to grow. There are few very active authors like @taskmaster4450 who make it to trending quite easily. These guys are working very hard. I want to try and replicate some of that success. I know I can write good articles and I have seen many talented writers starting out with very little recognition.

A Simple Introduction to Drops

Drops are a way to get players who participate in Raves to notice your message. I do not know what the conversion rates are. There is no way to track who visited my blog after sponsoring a Drop accurately. It is easy to join Raves and every participant gets to win at least 0.001 SWAP.HIVE with few simple clicks.

Player Statistics

Click on the link above or follow @sentipl for regular updates on @risingstargame statistics. Right now we seem to have ~1350 active players and these numbers may drop a little more before we see a change it the trend. These have been tremendously difficult times for cryptosphere.

Promote Yourself With Ease

Your journey begins with installing Keychain and visiting the official website. Once you are there, it will be very difficult to miss the main button for Raves. There are 3 ways to navigate to Raves. You can figure out the other paths later.

Then you have to click where I have pointed in the screenshot. You may notice that the drone + message is a little different this time. Custom messages are possible; but cumbersome. It would be good to have a simple automated method to have these custom messages displayed.

You will be helping to keep the STARBITS supply down while rewarding a random DAPP user on HIVE. Join official Discord channel if you would like to have custom messages or hang out with other players. I personally avoid centralized platforms that tend to be privacy nightmares.

Skip UI Because This is a Blockchain

Web 3 games offer players better ownership and control over how they want to operate. Many gameplay activities are merely transactions signed onto the blockchain. Game websites are often merely fancy front ends.

If you can manage to do some accurate data entry, there are many websites such as HIVE-Engine or wallets such as @keychain to sign any of the above transactions to the blockchain.

Cost of Advertising With Drops

A small change can make massive differences to a business or a trade. Take a look at Yen carry trade for an example. A small change in interest rates lead to a massive crash.

What do you think of the expense of few people coming across your blog is. We are looking at $0.012 for one Drop. Take look at the price for STARBITS:

It is not difficult to afford a cent while being a part of a gaming community on HIVE. After few Drops, players may even start recognizing your name. There will be diminishing returns. That will not stop me from experimenting. Even if you get 50 visitors from 100 Drops, the cost sound like a very good deal compared to regular paid traffic.

There is no need to even buy STARBITS. It has been a long time since I last did that. What I do is play the game regularly and reinvest the Rewards back into the game. NFT prices have taken nose dives and if anyone aims to get back in NFTs, this could be a good time to buy. There are no guarantees. I'm seeing blood on the streets and many times, it is the best moment to buy.
