A LETTER TO MY TEACHERS

Dear sirs and madams,

I write to sincerely commend your efforts towards impacting knowledge into me years ago. I’d have done this a while before now, but procrastination wins each day I pick a pen and paper.

Finally, I have won the race and that’s why I’m here.

Years ago, as empty as a tabula rasa, I attended institutions of learning filled with your kind. Now, I have a very sharp mind with lots of ideas and innovations that have arisen from all you taught and held to. For this, I say thank you.

While we stayed together, there were days when scenes and escapades filled the air. Sometimes, the faults were completely mine. My behaviors were juvenile. I’d complete blame them on youthful exuberance. I sincerely apologize for those awful moments.

Times and moments with you have helped me become who I am today. I am very grateful our paths crossed.

I pray your rewards are really in heaven.
