Are You Enjoying Studying?

I'm aware that the response is negative already. For myself, I like to read books and research different subjects. But I seem to detest studying when it comes to doing it honestly. Maybe I was just too conceited to believe that I could get by without doing any homework. Then again, things have always been that way. With no studies, I was doing well. There are portions of me that are not content with the fact that I could have gotten an A with a little more work. I could definitely achieve amazing things if I only put forth a little more effort in certain areas. Nevertheless, since I am so lazy, it's all about the what-ifs.

How could that be?

That is what I have always depended on. Now that I know I've squandered my intelligence on pointless activities, I regret it. I really want to change the way I think about studying, yet it seems difficult. I have no idea how. Would anyone care to assist me in getting off my high horse? Though I'm sure there are many successful people in the world, I wonder if they actually take the time to learn.

I've always heard my mother complain that I don't do enough. Everyone thinks I'm brilliant, but I'm not, even if I frequently place in the top 10 or above. She constantly conveys to me the impression that I will never be enough or brilliant, regardless of what I accomplish.
