It is quite a crowded place. In cities and towns there is a waiting room for the passengers in the bus stand. This is called 'Jatri Chhauni'. Passengers don't have to wait for a long time for the buses. Passengers gather at bus stand for getting into the bus when it comes. It is visible that both passengers and porters are equally busy at the stand. Bus stand is a temporary shelter for passengers. In some bus stands, there are counters for booking ticket. Passengers stand in a queue for buying tickets. Sometimes some ill-tempered passengers break the queue and quarrel among themselves. Various kinds of things are found at the bus stand. We see road-side tea-stalls, other small shops, hawker's-selling betel-leaf and cigarette at a bus stand.
