'Oga, na here I dey drop!! Oga, na here I dey drop!!!' were the words I kept screaming. Any time I see this picture those were the memories it brought.

I never expected the day to turn out that way seeing that I'd started the day with so much fun and good vibes.
It was a Friday evening and I just finished my shopping from terminus market in Jos, plateau state. I'd shopped for a few things I wanted to travel with the next day and happily walked to the bus terminal to take a tricycle home when I discovered no tricycle was going my direction. I stood there for over an hour without any sign of a tricycle.
All efforts to get a ride seemed fruitless and frustrating. I was about to give up and start trekking home when I heard 'Bauchi road,Bauchi road'. I didn't even wait for anyone, I just took my bags and took to my heels in the direction of the sound. Apparently, they were going in my direction but instead of the usual tricycle I use, I met a bus and hurriedly got in with many others. I sat right next to the door and was determined not to move for anyone to sit next to me considering the fact that it was already late and the town wasn't really that safe for anyone.
When I got into the bus I realized I wasn't just the only young lady but also the only person who didn't understand the Hausa language. At that moment I knew I was in trouble and I began to pray. When I got to my junction I told the driver I wanted to get down but everyone on the bus pretended not to hear me including the driver. In Fact instead of slowing down, he sped off and at that point I knew I was in trouble. I sat quietly waiting for everyone to forget about me and then the next thing they heard was 'boom' I'd jumped out of the moving vehicle with all of my stuff.
Clearly they couldn't close the door because of how full the bus was, hence my easy escape and then I began to shout. People around came and before they could say jack I took to my heels.
That was how I got saved from those kidnappers.
