Dear my friends
if you come to Indonesia, then you can find various types of coffee easily, ranging from village coffee whose purchase value is cheap to civet coffee whose price is the highest in the world you can find in Indonesia, coffee plants in Indonesia are spread over several regions due to soil conditions and weather conditions that make coffee plants spread, meaning that not all places in Indonesia can be cultivated for coffee.
Arabica coffee is one type of coffee with a difficult level of maintenance, this type of coffee is very influential on weather conditions, and this coffee plant is better planted in a high place so that it is easier to grow and bear fruit, the taste that you get from this coffee is sour and bitter, the caffeine content in this type of coffee also tends to be lower when compared to liberica & robusta.
Our Arabica coffee plants do not produce as much as the Gayo people have, where gayo Arabica coffee bears more fruit due to their higher altitude and cooler weather, while in our area the lowlands and hot weather make coffee plants grow we do not produce optimally, if we make some kind of percentage between ours and the Gayo people, then our coffee plants only produce 40% of theirs.
we have tried several times to cultivate the soil and various agricultural systems but have not succeeded in making Arabica coffee in our garden produce maximum production due to the influence of the weather, in the future we will try to plant coffee under a lush durian tree, because of the results of the research we have done the soil conditions under the lush durian is more humid when compared to the location we have cultivated now.
To understand what I mean for maximum results you can download pictures of Arabica coffee on the internet and compare with mine, you will definitely find a big difference in the number of coffee cherries, for example Gayo Arabica coffee will have fruit along the branches by piling up, while our Arabica coffee has the number of fruits which is rare, but of course we will try the next method to improve the results.
Arabica coffee, also known as Arabic coffee, Arabic bush coffee, or mountain coffee, is a species of the genus Coffea. This species is believed to be the first coffee species to be cultivated, and is the dominant cultivar, representing about 60% of global coffee production. Wikipedia
besides rice, coffee has become an important crop for us to increase our family's cost of living, and it has been more than thirty years our family has survived in the agricultural sector, if you ask where I spend my time the answer is 80% of my time on the farm, it has become part of the life I live, I am happy to be part of the farmer.
If you come to Indonesia, don't forget to stop by my city, I will be happy to serve you the best cup of coffee.
thank you very much for visiting my blog, those are some portraits of Arabica coffee and a little explanation about it, see you in the next post.
Love you all ❤️
