As you all know, I'm a student and my current business is that of Graphics Design. Due to the upcoming election in my country (Nigeria), a lot of these political parties will want to run their campaigns on the streets, and they'll need to make various flyers and posters of all sort, with these opportunity in place there's high demand of Graphics designers, there's been a huge spike in youths aspiring to become one and it'll be a challenge for me to make new customers. So I've put in place these steps to guarantee more sales in my business.
How I Can Boost Up My Profit In This Business Venture
1. Promotion and Advertising!!!
Advertising has been the most effective means of increasing profit in a business, virtually every business owners that wants to boost their income must have think of advertising. So in order for me to maximize my reach to more customers, I have to advertise and to do so it's not that hard, since I'm already a graphic designer, I don't have to hire one for the eye-catching flyer design, I can just easily design it myself. After I must have created the flyers both physical and digital, I'll first post the digital ones on social media platforms and run ads on them, then I'll give out the physical ones to people on the streets and also give my friends and family to help advertise for me.
2. Discounts!!!
Not only advertising can boost income, also discounts can be a great means. By printing out coupons cards and giving discounts on it, a business owner can attract new customers to his/her businesses. Like I said above, in my advertising flyer's, I'll not only just advertise my business name and info, I'll put discounts on it. The discount can range from 10%-30% off depending on the type of design the person may want. By doing this, I've not only advertise my business but also place guarantee to attract new customers seeking for lower patronage.
3. Location!!!
A good business location is most vital in securing good sales and profits. Placing your business in a unfavourable location can decrease your profit making. Take for example, I have a business proposal of selling sleek and luxurious jewelries and clothes, then I established my business enterprise in a rural/village location, The amount of sales I'll be able to make will be depressing and unbearable and it'll results to heavy loss, a good location for this type of business is to secure a good location in the cities, where virtually 80% of the population can afford such.
Since I'm a freelancer, I don't have to worry about my business location since I can even reach out to my customers where ever they are, they just need my phone number and social accounts to contact me and I'll quickly book an appointment with them. With this in place, my customers will even patronise me more because I save them the stress of leaving their homes/office to visit me.
As entrepreneurs, there's a lot to consider before establishing that business and these decisions will determine how the business will survive in the long run. So to ensure a successful business, we also have to plan carefully and vigorously to avoid huge loss. Thanks for reading...
