Today I want to inform you that over the past week I have been working on the activation of 4 accounts that will be part of the R2cornell curation team and thus be able to support many more users. I have each account well-funded in order to curate as many quality publications as is possible.

Tengo cada cuenta bien financiada para poder curar tantas publicaciones de calidad como sea posible.

Their seemed to be a high demand to support many quality publications, and my curators were not able to curate all that should be. Many of you are aware that the #r2cornell tag has been being used for quite a while. When you use my tag our curators are better able to locate publications to curate. The #r2cornell tag support all types of content.

You may wonder why would I go to these lengths, using my own funds. Well, I have always tried to support as many users as I can. I have found Blurt to be a platform where so many users help each other. This includes the founders and the active witnesses on Blurt. This is a complete opposite experience from the other platforms. This friendly atmosphere, and the subsequent attitude of so many, makes me want to continue.

I do not publish content of late due to health issues related to Covid-19. I always put a lot of effort into my publications. I have not had the time or energy to be active in the way I had enjoyed. As I started feeling better I have given a lot of thought as to how to approach my participation on Blurt, and expanding the curation project. I talked with a couple of my curators and bounced a few ideas off of them, and eventually came to the conclusion that I would be of more help toward the future success of the Blurt platform, and any future platform, if I would focus on the curation project.

Últimamente no publico contenidos debido a problemas de salud relacionados con Covid-19. Siempre me he esforzado mucho en mis publicaciones. No he tenido ni el tiempo ni la energía para ser activo de la manera que había disfrutado. Cuando empecé a sentirme mejor, pensé mucho en cómo enfocar mi participación en Blurt y en ampliar el proyecto de curaduría. Hablé con un par de curadores y les propuse algunas ideas, y finalmente llegué a la conclusión de que sería más útil para el éxito futuro de la plataforma Blurt, y de cualquier otra plataforma futura, si me centraba en el proyecto de curaduría.

@blessed-girl has been very helpful in keeping the curation project going. Without her assistance I am not sure I would be writing this. She has been doing the reports for the project as well as many other duties. She even roughed-in this publication and from there I began adding more information as it came to me.

Now we have some expectations for those publications we consider curating. I share this with all of you and the curators as guidelines. In this way everyone has the same information.

PHOTOGRAPHY:

We have seen publications that only have a photograph, no text and no indication of the camera with which the photograph was taken. This type of publications will not be voted.

Hemos visto publicaciones que sólo tienen una fotografía, sin texto y sin indicación de la cámara con la que se tomó la fotografía. Este tipo de publicaciones no serán votadas.

In order to receive a vote from us, your publication:

• Must contain at least 2 photographs.
• It must have an explanatory text or history of the photographs of at least 2 paragraphs of 4 lines.
• The only exception for one photograph would be that the publication is mostly text and many more paragraphs than two. The photo needs to be related to the narrative.
• Must indicate the data of the camera with which the photographs were taken.
• For those who use photos from other sources and none of their own in their publication, curating that publication will be of low priority.

Para recibir un voto nuestro, su publicación
- Debe contener al menos 2 fotografías.
- Debe tener un texto explicativo o historia de las fotografías de al menos 2 párrafos de 4 líneas.
- La única excepción para una fotografía sería que la publicación sea mayoritariamente texto y muchos más párrafos que dos. La fotografía debe estar relacionada con la narración.
- Debe indicar los datos de la cámara con la que se tomaron las fotografías.
- Para aquellos que utilicen fotos de otras fuentes y ninguna propia en su publicación, la curaduría de dicha publicación será de baja prioridad.

We were informed about some users which make video captures and post them as if they make the food, these people have been silenced. We continue to work exhaustively to verify more cases like these, which will be blocked.

Food posts, voted by our team must:

• Contain step-by-step photo of the food making process.
• Ingredients.
• Final photo of the dish prepared.
• Data of the camera with which the photographs were taken.

We have observed many publications that only contain a photograph of a finished painting and mention that it was made by them. This type of publication will not be curated.

Publications that will be voted on by our team must:

• Present step-by-step photographs of how their work is being made.
• Data of the camera with which the photographs were taken.

Those publications that have information from the internet or photographs from the internet must have their respective reference, mentioning where the information or photograph was obtained. No matter, use of other photos and content even with the source noted, the publication will be of low priority.

Aquellas publicaciones que tengan información de internet o fotografías de internet deberán tener su respectiva referencia, mencionando donde se obtuvo la información o la fotografía. No importa, el uso de otras fotos y contenidos aún con la fuente señalada, la publicación será de baja prioridad.

We thank all those who wish to use the #r2cornell tag, and expect them to comply with these requirements. This will lead us to curating good quality publications and help in building Blurt into a stronger platform.

A final thought: I have always told the curators working this project on any of the platforms that they have the final decision on decided to curate a publication. That still is in effect. In the event one feels a publication is objectionable they do not have to curate it. That does not mean a different curator would not be okay with curating it.

Una última reflexión: Siempre he dicho a los curadores que trabajan en este proyecto en cualquiera de las plataformas que ellos tienen la decisión final sobre la decisión de curar una publicación.
