Belief-perseverance. We see this at work today, with society's nearly unshakeable belief in vaccination, even though recent events have very clearly debunked the validity of vaccination.

    That is one of the best and most accurate science quotes I have come across. The Structure of Scientific Revolutions written by Thomas S. Kuhn goes into great detail about the workings of science.

    The so-called real world is an illusion, and the younger less "experienced" minds haven't solidified that illusion as absolute truth. They can see things that refute the illusion, whereas solidified minds cannot see those things. They are incapable, their illusions are at the level of assumption.
