in r2cornell •  last year

Hey Blurtians,

Am super excited that today 11th November 2023 is another day to elect a new governor in my state. Among the 36 states in Nigeria only bayelsa and kogi State that will be electing new governor.

Everywhere is quite, as military men have been deployed into the state in battalions and there's hardly a corner you won't find one just to make sure the election is safe and no crime.

Some major roads have been blocked. One men and woman on special duty are allowed to move like doctors, police men, and some other paramilitary person. There have been helicopter surveillance moving through the state for about two day now.

Security officials have been placed at strategic points across Kogi State to restrict movement as the governorship election holds on Saturday.
