Good Afternoon everyone for all of our friends who are at Blurtter and have been joining Blurtter for a long time, hopefully we are always healthy and can always carry out activities as usual. So on this occasion I want to write a little bit about Wedding Event (Peusijuek) At Home Last Week hopefully later it can become a memory for myself, and for other friends who are already married, don't forget to also give directions and input if later in my writing there are still words- words that are not polite, therefore I apologize once again.
Who is not familiar with a tradition like this, so that's why we as Acehnese are not surprised if there is an event like this. This peusijuek tradition in the life of the Acehnese people is not a custom that just exists and stands alone, because the peusijuek custom is carried out in a series of implementations of other customs, for example when a marriage custom is performed or when reconciling a case according to custom, and so on. The custom of holding peusijuek has been going on for a long time in Acehnese society and it is not known exactly when it started and where it came from. Some say that peusijuek existed in society before Islam came to Aceh. So this custom existed when the influence of Hinduism entered Aceh, or earlier when the people still adhered to animism and dynamism. This is understandable considering that peusijuek is a culture that is sacred and classified as a universal culture.
As part of human culture in Aceh especially, peusijuek is experiencing changes and developments in line with the development of human life today, but the basis for events like this is still the same as before, there are only a few changes that can be changed. Thus after the arrival of Islam, the peusijuek custom was given an Islamic breath in the ways of its implementation and adapted to Islamic teachings. For example, when peusijuek begins by reciting Basmalah and finally reciting an Islamic prayer. Peusijuek in the Indonesian language can be said to be 'menepung offers' which means to make something "cool", "cold" (sijuek means cool or cold) which implies that by holding peusijuek or offering flour it is hoped that you will receive blessings, be safe or will be in a state of disrepair. Good. Peusijuek can also be done on objects and on humans. So after being dipeusijeuk, someone who is going to travel far, for example, is expected to have a safe trip. Peusijuek bride (dara baro or linto baro) for example is done with the hope that the marriage will be happy and will get safety in their lives.
This is all I can say more and less I apologize, hopefully it will be useful for me, and hopefully it will be useful for all readers in general, thank you for visiting my blog, don't forget to follow and vote for my posts. , and one more thing, don't forget to share this post with other friends.
