These are the eggs I harvested from our free range chickens. I'm really happy when I can harvest a lot of eggs from our heritage chickens.
Harvesting healthier eggs produced by our free-range chickens involves a natural and sustainable approach to farming. Our chickens roam freely in open pastures, enjoying a diet rich in grass, insects, and supplemental grains, which leads to eggs with higher nutritional value. The freedom to forage and move enhances their well-being, resulting in eggs that are not only fresher but also packed with more omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals compared to conventionally farmed eggs. By prioritizing the health and happiness of our chickens, we ensure that each egg is a product of a humane and environmentally conscious farming method.
I was able to harvest three trays of eggs in a week. And this is a great help in our daily livelihood for we have the option to consume or sell them to our neighbors.
This is one of the egg trays we sold. And it is ready for pick-up by the buyer. Many people are looking for these eggs because it is not only healthy and tasty, but they are also cheaper.
Chickens lay eggs here every day. They just share and lay eggs in this same nest. I wonder why they just usually only lay eggs in this nest since there are other nests where they can lay their eggs.
And these are the chickens in our free range. There are only five types of roosters that we put in it. We left the five roosters of different breed for mating purposes and rest we isolated them in the designated cage so that by the time we need to replace we have extra roosters to replace them and we repeat this process inorder to give our roosters enough period to rest.
