Scientists claim that the moon, the only satellite of the earth, is getting smaller. Scientists claim that the moon is slowly shrinking after seeing images from NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.

After reviewing more than 12,000 images, the scientists said that the wrinkles on the moon are gradually increasing. There are many earthquakes. Cracks have been found in the lunar basin Mare Fregaris near the North Pole.

The moon does not have tectonic plates like the earth. As a result, the moon has been losing heat since its creation 400 million years ago. And this satellite has started to shrink mainly due to the cold.

Because the surface of the moon is fragile, the place where it was pulled is broken. Astronomers claim that the moon has become much smaller in size than before. They say the moon has shrunk by at least 150 feet in the last few thousand years.
