FADING PEACE 1
Time has forced us to remember the joy we had, the peace and unity we shared, the independence our heroes fought to secure for us. Time has forced us to nostalgia because we are losing it by each hour.
We have become like a pelican in the wilderness, strangers in our own motherland, fear is prowling all around us, night and day patrolling high on the city walls.
Our roads we thought are the safest paths are in turn life-threatening, our railways are just as unsafe, not even by airways are neither secure. Our homes even, are no longer the safest places. Hospitals are risky, students are kidnapped in schools, like debtors we are unresting and our voices are silent as the night.
To whom shall we go? Before whom shall we stand? Our peace is neither here nor there.
To thee O phenomenal creator, do not hold us in contempt. Give us grace that we may call upon your name. Restore our peace as the waters of Babylon, stitch back our wings and strengthen us like the eagle.
May hope greet us timely amidst the battles and strifes.
