Eating Out Time!!

Hi, all Blurtains!! How often do you eat at a restaurant?

@World-travel-pro and I don’t eat out often. Especially since we’ve stayed in Chiang Mai most of the time we’ve been cooking at home because when we were traveling we missed cooking a lot. So we planned to rent a place with a kitchen when we stayed in CM. However, repeating things is quite boring. The same when we cooked at home too much we got tired of it but not entirely. So we talked about eating out for a bit and we did. It was nice eating out. We picked a good restaurant even though we were confused with the one next to it hahaha. We thought we would pick another restaurant but we chose a different one.

Anyway it was a pretty good mistake. WTP ordered “Pad Si-ew” (stirred fried flat noodles with pork) and I ordered “glass noodle salad with minced pork” and we ordered “Som Tum” (papaya salad). It was well ordered! And they were fast even though a few tables were there before us. Their food was really good and it looked fresh. And you know… how much it cost for three dishes with two drinks? It’s only 180 baht (about 4.94 dollars) . We were impressed and we both agreed to go back there again. 🤤

I used to love the glass noodles dish (I always ordered yum woon sen talay), I eventually stopped because every time I order it it would either be too sweet, or too spicy...never on the spot.

Yeah, it's been a while since I've had a thai noodle dish in my area that was decked out with all the toppings and perfect taste. Now with inflation in Canada it tastes like spicy spaghetti or overly-sweet ramen or something, and plain of course.

I hear you! It’s really not that easy to find a good one. I was lucky though. 😄

BTW thanks for sharing your experience @dudiland!

Looks really good! When we have pad thai here, my little son says "pad time" :)
