একটানা বৃষ্টির একটি প্রধান সমস্যা হলো বন্যা। বাংলাদেশ এমন একটি দেশ যেখানে বর্ষাকালে প্রায়ই বন্যা দেখা যায়। দীর্ঘস্থায়ী বৃষ্টি এবং নদীর পানি বৃদ্ধি প্রায়শই দেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলে বন্যা পরিস্থিতির সৃষ্টি করে। নিম্নাঞ্চলে বসবাসরত মানুষজন বেশি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হন, কারণ তাদের বাড়িঘর পানিতে তলিয়ে যায় এবং খাদ্য ও পানির সংকট দেখা দেয়।বন্যা শুধু মানুষের জীবনযাত্রাকেই ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করে না, বরং প্রকৃতির উপরও নেতিবাচক প্রভাব ফেলে। ফসলের জমি প্লাবিত হয়ে পড়ে, নদীর পাড় ভেঙে যায়, এবং বন্য প্রাণী তাদের আবাসস্থল হারায়। ফলে বন্যার সময় প্রকৃতি ও মানব জীবনে এক ধরনের বিপর্যয় নেমে আসে।
