TOPIC: CAN GOD DEPEND ON YOU?
π TODAY'S TEXT:
Ezekiel 36:23-38
π KEY VERSE:
"And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes" (Ezekiel 36:23).
ποΈ COMMENTARY
What the church needs today is not more machineries or more methods or new Ministries but men and women whom the Holy Spirit can use. Natural abilities and educational advantages are not factored in this consideration but capacity for faith, humility, ability to pray, thorough consecration, insatiable yearning for God and losing mundane preferences to divine options - these are vessels that can set the church on fire. Not through noisy and showy way but with intense and quiet spirit that moves everything for God. The Most High can work wonders if He gets suitable instruments.
God is seeking those He can use to accomplish His plans. Over the ages, the number of men and women God has been able to use to make remarkable impressions on generations after generation has been few. The blessings of God are received by many but the working remnants have been painfully very meager. Out of Gideon's army of 32,000 the Lord could use only 300. The rate has been the same down through the centuries. Very few are willing to pay the price for the relevant remnants.
God is looking out today for instruments who will allow Him to manifest in them in such a dimension that people around begin to recognize it and the impact will be plain truth. We are called primarily, to be holy men and women of God. In our churches and ministries, we have many preachers and theologians, administrators and protocol officers. We appreciate these facilitators. But do we
have Holy Men of God? The right question will elicit the right answer. All we have are they not manipulators, politicians and business tycoons?
We Christians profess to be indwelt by the Spirit of God. His primary function is to make us holy. He is called "Holy Spirit". When Prophet Isaiah saw a vision of God, he heard the Seraphim around the celestial throne crying out, not "Almighty, Almighty" nor "Power, Power" neither "Merciful, Merciful", but "Holy, Holy, Holy." Holy living and Holiness should be the greatest incentives for anyone who reacts to encounter the Master. For that is the only condition for His depending on us. Can we do it? Can God depend on you?
