HAMILA--The inquisitive Girl.

Miss Susan Hamila is my student at St. Joseph Secondary School, Nyiman, Makurdi-Catholic Diocese Benue State, Nigeria my new place of work. She's in the senior class (Sss1), little but intelligent than she appears, and have got great prospects.

As part of my work, duty and obligation at the school as the New Music & Liturgy Director I've had pleasant experiences thus far, and one of these great moments have been geared by some of my learners, which HAMILA is among.
She's got an adorable lifestyle that is worthwhile to emulate.

Few days after I kick-started work over there, she walked up to me shortly after my choir practice with them while I was arranging some stuff to take off and head back home and asked; "when next will we have Special Choir rehearsal after Sunday, meanwhile it was on a Friday and we were yet to reach Sunday so to have our supposed/proposed rehearsal. I was like "Oops! 😯 How does this girl really mean🤔 or what is she really up to?" and other thoughts kept running through my head, but I actually gave her the desired answer. So, after that we conversed further as I sourced to know more about her and her actions and quest to know that which she asked,so she said "Sir,I really love to sing and would want to be better off in the nearest future, and would want to learn from me, believing I'd be very helpful and impactful", then our conversation was becoming more interesting as she told me more things as I asked too.
She's an art student and has said it's because she wishes to study music and take it professionally that she had opted being in the ARTS field of study. And indeed, she has a great voice and also, sings very well.

I told her the needed things(guidance, advices, encouragements etc) necessary for her to strive in her career pursuit and she should be consistent to the end, amongst others--And in this regard I've observed already she's always early and actively participating in all I instruct to be done during choir meetings. And because of these, I assured her of my maximum support in ensuring she actualizes her dream even after graduation from high school, because she has really motivated me in her INQUISITIVENESS which is rare among growing kids who often don't even know the path of life to follow.

Miss Susan Hamila is a Nigerian from the North-Central region of Nigeria. The Dad is Hausa by tribe and the Mom is Idoma by tribe, they base more in Makurdi, the capital city of Benue State, Nigeria.

To conclude, Hamila sounded funny while telling me of her parents, saying that "She is half Hausa & half Idoma since the Mom's state is different from the Dad. I smiled😅 and corrected her.
I wish we all, or rather other kids and youths out there can reason as such (like Hamila) in being inquisitive and working towards achieving a purposeful goal for the betterment of their future.

NB: These pictures aren't having Hamila's image in them since I'm yet to snap with them(my students) as they're all boarding students.

This is a beautiful post. Kindly let Hamila know that been a science student cannot hinder her from been a good singer. By the way physics helps you understand music even the more. Thanks and keep doing your best. Cheers!
