Close your eyes and visualize yourself learning how to ride a bike as a small child. Remember the feeling you had inside of you, of exhilaration and fear? Maybe you learned how to balance on your brand-new toy from an older person, like your brother or father. I'm guessing that during your first few tries, you stumbled and swayed a bit before getting down on the sidewalk.

Maybe you took a few knocks along the way, but in the end you managed to get the hang of it. Before you knew it, you were flying across your neighborhood's streets and relishing your newfound freedom. Can you still feel the joy that flooded your whole being? Did I really say that was fairly awesome? You thought everything was possible.

When we were young, everything was completely new. We were regularly presented with problems, subjects, and concepts that we could not understand. Trying anything new didn't seem so terrifying because everything we came across was novel to our naive eyes. But as we got older, putting ourselves out there became less exciting and more intimidating.

How many times have you been itching to start a new fitness program but refrained because you didn't think you were "fit enough"? How often have you been "too green" to speak up in a meeting and chosen not to share your ideas? It could be a little scary to put yourself out there as adults. You may decide not to go on the blind date your buddy arranges for you, even though you are single and looking. However, think about this. When was the last time you made a fresh start and regretted every single bit of it? Think of a time you did accept the challenge, the date, the workout class, the unique opportunity, etc. Despite not being the best, did you genuinely regret it?

Come on, nobody ever starts something from scratch in life. Because perfection is so unreachable, it shouldn't even be defined in a dictionary—and who would want it to? A "perfect" world could be boring, right? Nothing in the world is flawless. Truth be told, we're all still learning. Rather of letting anxiety of being a rookie among the experienced people get in the way, we should take advantage of every opportunity to learn from those who have been in our shoes before.

Put yourself in the shoes of a small child and imagine your dreams and goals. If you wish to, start the blog now. If you're interested in making jewelry to sell online, go for it.

Failing is impossible, so stop worrying about it. Doing nothing can lead to failure; trying will always result in success. Accepting the power of discomfort and wearing it like a badge will make you look back and be so happy you did.
