Era una tarde rutinaria como cualquiera otra tarde caraqueña, salía de clases de la universidad y me encuentro con mi amigo, Luis Reyes, artista plástico, le pregunté — ¿Vas camino al metro? — Y él me contestó que si, en la vía íbamos hablando sobre algunos temas, académicos, artísticos, políticos; luego él se detiene, me mira fijamente y me dice: —Acompáñame al cumpleaños de Ramón Pimentel — otro amigo y conocido artista plástico, y yo sin pensarlo mucho accedí, cuando vamos en camino noto que el lugar a donde nos dirigíamos quedaba muy cerca a mi residencia en Caracas, me pareció excelente, llegamos a aquel lugar, que no era una casa, sino que era un estudio, sí como leen un estudio audiovisual, donde nos encontramos a más personas conocidas de la universidad, el ambiente era muy agradable, adultos, niños, jóvenes, todos sonrientes y disfrazados, yo no entendía si esa era la temática del cumpleaños o cuál era el fin de sus maquillajes y vestuarios, cuando Ramón me ve me dice —Hola Chelita qué bueno que viniste, vas a ser parte de este proyecto— yo sonriente felicitándolo por su cumpleaños aún no entendía de qué proyecto hablaba y me dice —Aquí tienes esta ropa y el maquillaje — y yo sin pensarlo mucho me cambié, me maquillé y esperamos a que todos los invitados llegaran.
It was a routine afternoon like any other Caracas afternoon, I was leaving university classes and I met my friend, Luis Reyes, a plastic artist, I asked him - Are you on your way to the subway? - And he answered me that yes, on the road we were talking about some topics, academic, artistic, political; then he stops, looks at me fixedly and says: —Join me to Ramón Pimentel's birthday - another friend and well-known plastic artist, and without much thought I agreed, when we are on our way I notice that the place where we were going was very close to My residence in Caracas seemed excellent to me, we arrived at that place, which was not a house, but a studio, yes, as they read an audiovisual study, where we met more well-known people from the university, the atmosphere was very pleasant, adults, children, young people, all smiling and dressed up, I did not understand if that was the theme of the birthday or what was the purpose of their makeup and costumes, when Ramón sees me he says —Hi Chelita, how good you came, you are going to be part of it. of this project— I smilingly congratulating him on his birthday, I still didn't understand what project he was talking about and he says —Here are these clothes and makeup — and I without thinking much changed, put on make-up and we waited for all the guests to arrive ran.
Ramón nos reúne a todos y nos da las pautas — Gracias a todos por haber venido, haremos una sesión fotográfica para la realización de mi próximo proyecto plástico llamado: "Empatía", cada uno de ustedes es un personaje, y a partir de cada acción que yo les indique ustedes posaran e improvisaran, la idea es que se lo disfruten mientras se las hace la sesión de fotos —. Y así fue, los personajes eran: La maldad, la avaricia, la alegría, la inocencia, la simpatía, la espiritualidad, en mi caso me tocó la bondad. Pasamos horas improvisando y divirtiéndonos, era todo un juego, risas y risas, bailamos, cantamos, actuamos y hasta el trencito hicimos, de verdad que fue una excelente experiencia, todo muy performático con gente muy agradable y querida.

We spent hours improvising and having fun, it was all a game, laughter and laughter, we danced, we sang, we acted and we even made the little train, it really was an excellent experience, all very performative with very nice and dear people.
La técnica de creación de Ramón Pimentel se basa en primero hacer una sesión fotográfica para luego inspirarse de las imágenes capturadas y pintarlas en lienzos, y es ahí donde realiza con sus manos la magia de dibujar y crear todos esos matices que nos cautivan con sus trazos de colores tropicales llenos empatía.

Ramón no solo se dedica al lienzo, sino que también es muralista, y tanto este proyecto como otros los ha llevado a varios muros de las calles de Caracas y a otras ciudades del país.
