Elizabeth Is Missing || Grow up but don't grow old!

We want to grow fast until a certain age, then we want time to pass slowly and we do not want to grow old. This is quite normal as the passing of time will reduce our life span. Grow up but don't grow old!

The most likely effect of ageing is the formation of wrinkles on the face and skin. Another non-superficial symptom is forgetfulness. Released in 2019, the film Elizabeth Is Missing is about forgetfulness in old age. The main character Maund is in the grip of an advanced age syndrome called dementia. Therefore, he attaches notes all over the house where he lives and writes down everything he needs to do and tries to remember it in this way.

The main plot of the film involves the sudden disappearance of Maund's friend Elizabeth. Maund thinks that something has happened to his only friend Elizabeth and tries to find her as a detective. This work is quite difficult for a person of advanced age and progressing dementia, but Maund does not have a long time because his disease will soon destroy all his memories in such a way that he will never come back.

The film may have a negative effect on the viewer. If you have a big problem with aging in your mind, the film will increase your problem, because they have very well covered and reflected what can happen in old age. For me, I did not experience any negativity because every age is subject to the beauties to be experienced.

Elizabeth Is Missing is one of those films, but it caused me to have a very interesting and enjoyable impression. The film in the genre of drama and mystery, while revealing the effects of aging and aging, manages to keep the rate of watchability high by hosting a mystery from years ago. While watching the film, it arouses curiosity about what will happen next.

As I mentioned before, every age has its own unique beauty. And every age must be lived with the experiences it provides. I have no fear of wrinkled skin or forgetfulness, but being deprived of all rights by appointing a guardian can be one of the biggest fears for the elderly when they reach the age where they cannot manage themselves.

I must admit that I experienced a similar fear during the viewing of the film. It may not be a mistake to think that time grows us up until a certain time but shrinks us after a certain time. The dependence on our parents during our infancy and childhood is unfortunately replaced by dependence on our children when we grow old. Needing the support of a second person in order to survive may be considered appropriate for infancy because you will have a long life ahead of you when you leave infancy, but needing a second person in old age becomes a reality that emerges as the hopelessness of the ending life. When you grow old, you have no expectations and hopes for the next life.

Directed by Aisling Walsh, the film Elizabeth Is Missing presents the effects of aging and the thesis that the truth will come out sooner or later with a very good script. Whether it is the hidden truths or the feeling of aging, the bitter truths that most of us have to come to terms with one day will engulf us all. Elizabeth Is Missing is a simple film for today, but for tomorrow it is a candidate to be the drama of each of us and I strongly recommend you to watch it.
