All work and no play makes @faeren a dull chap!
The month of April can best be titled "Chronicles" because I have got alot to share on the blurt ecosystem. I have been away from the ecosystem but it's all for good. I now hope to flourish you all with my exploits and I hooe you will enjoy. For all my friends who missed me, I say am sorry. Do let's begin with this because my experience at the Lekki Reserve Centre is a good start. Cheers!
Lekki Conservation Centre is a project under Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), founded in 1980, majorly sponsored by Chevron, an NGO and a membership based organization. The reserve is 78 hectares; the canopy walkway is its main attraction and it is 401 metres long; 22.5 metres above the ground; and so, it is the longest in Africa and second in the world.
The animals there in are snakes, crocodiles, monitor lizards, peacocks, Mona monkeys, squirrels, civet cats, pangolins and antelopes. The animals are in the natural environment, and one only sights them by chance. There is also an open space called the savannah grassland family pack, where we have floor games and a fish pound and a tree house which is one of the oldest trees in the reserve – an Iru Tree (Locus bean tree)

Join me on this adventure as I take you through this beautiful tour of Lekki Conservation Reserve. Guys, nature is beautiful. Let’s begin with the main attraction of the reserve, that is, the Canopy Walkway. On the canopy walkway, only visitors between the ages of 14 to 65 years that are allowed to climb; and interestingly, only 7 persons are allowed on the walkway at a time between the towers. Also, on arrival at each tower, tourists stopover briefly for nature interpretation before moving on to the next; more so, as a precautionary measure, people with the fear for heights (acrophobia) are advised not to climb the canopy walkway. The fun part of it is that, it swings up; down and sideways and it’s normal as it adds to the excitement to be experienced on the canopy walkway – trust me, it can be scary too.
As we made our way through the walkway, we came across a variety of trees with different economic and medicinal values. Here are a few of them.
(Cabbage Tree)
(Oil Palm)
(African Locus Bean Tree)
We also visited the open space called the savannah grassland family pack, where we had some floor games like Chess, daft and others. The fish pound to was adorned with alot of fishes. It was a beauty to behold. Enjoy the pictures of the floor games pictures below.
The tortoise, monkeys and the peacock were not left behind.
One may be wondering how I got the above detailed info of the entire reserve. Worry not, because a beautiful and cheerful Tour Guard by name Amina flourished me with the details without a second thought.
There she goes.
Here also is Raymond another tour guard, who is also a nice guy.
We had our fun to its maximum as we returned home.
I hope you had a happy read. When next you are in Nigeria and looking for Reserve to visit, let me be your guide and guard.
Cheers to the blurt family!
Cheers to my growth!
Cheers to the future!
It's obviously a fun-filled day.... enjoy
Thanks dearly @dulcia.

The fun aspects of life is highly recommended for humans and I'm glad you had fun. And above all, you learnt alot from your tour.
Cheers ✊🏾
Absolutely, life without fun is not worth it. Sometimes we are simply existing without living and fun contributes to our living life to its fullest. I also learnt alot. Cheers.

See the way I am smiling, contagious photos. Fun filled. Glad for you all.
Thanks a million for the compliments.
Is it for the canopy walkway not to collapse, that was why seven people were allowed to walk on it at a go? My sister promised to take me there once I visit her again in Lagos and I can´t wait to see those animals you talked about especially the monitor lizard. You really had an amazing time together with others. It´s always fun to go in groups than going alone.
My dear you won't regret visiting there at all. And yes they avoid over congestion on the walkway.
