It has been a couple of months since our curation project has been operational. We have yet to do any curation reports, although I hope we can get started with those soon.
On a personal note, I have finally been able to retire. I have many projects, including expanding my plant room to grow more vegetables during the winter months and more indoor flowers. As spring arrives, I have numerous projects planned for working in my woodshop and doing a little more gardening this year.
I also look forward to spring flowers, from those in my flower garden to wildflowers. I want to be able to spend more time photographing them. I enjoy photography, and subsequently, I will have material for blog posts.
I am still determining how much blogging I will do, although I will do one when the mood hits me. As next winter arrives, I may be more active, but hopefully, I will periodically publish something from now until winter.
I have adjusted to this retirement quite nicely. I thought it would be difficult being alone after all the years of caring for the disabled and my wife. I am not missing the ladies I cared for, although I do miss my wife. After 14 months of her passing, it is getting easier.
That is my update for this publication. Of course I do have some photography to share with you.
My cover photograph is a new Amaryllis I am growing. It is the only one I have with that coloring. It took longer to bloom than my other varieties. Following this paragraph, I'll be sure to include another view of this beautiful flower.
The following are a couple of macro-views of Ziva Paperwhite Flowers that I grew last winter. I plan to let them go dormant and get them growing and flowering for next winter. I have read that many throw out the bulbs when they finish their blooms, which I can fathom why they don't try to keep growing them.
These final photos are of a new miniature rose I picked up a few months ago. I had never seen a lavender-colored rose in miniature before and had to have it.
I usually use a Canon EOS Rebel T5 for most photographs, except where noted. I do have an older PowerShot Canon digital camera that I use from time to time. I take some photographs with my Samsung Note 10 smartphone and include them occasionally. I used my phone camera and Canon Rebel T5 to take the photos in this post.
That brings us to the end of this publication. I trust you enjoyed reading about my update and, of course, my flower photographs. Until next time I remain @r2cornell.
