The world is dealing with a fascist dictator with big guns and dangerous enough to cause humanity a great tribulation not to mention Communist China over Taiwan which will cause a series of unfortunate events like other countries taking advantage of the situation to assert their territorial disputes with China.
Then of course it is not a matter of one country against one because there are things like alliances where even if an allied country have no interest about the issues at hand they will have to get into the mix.
For example if a country has a military US base in it then it will be also be a target of the enemy. So now we are actually living in a precarious or dangerous situation where one miscalculated move by one country might mean a catastrophic tribulation for humanity.
It is unfortunate that in our modern times we s till see these things happened in the past that didn't end well for the lives and places lost. We should just be cooperating to each other in order to uplift the lives of one another but what is happening is that countries just want to take an upperhand against each other in order to be superior like a Nazi narrative.
I am just angry that these major events in my lifetime affects me and my life while I have nothing to do with it. It makes me feel so frustrated that other people have some control in my life, so with that thought I am not really free.
Regarding the current war, well it really can turn to an awful thing as Russian president told us that the west like US and NATO can see worse "devastation" since World War 2 if they would intervene with what he is doing now in Ukraine. So it will just remain to bee seen what will transpire in the coming days, weeks, or months. People down below will have to suffer while the leaders will still collect their salaries while their folly will continue to hurt the majority of people around the world.

I see bigger powers than just political leaders and armies. There is a much greater war of technology and finance. No war can result in the end of conflict. We must pray.
Putin is in so much Paranoia just like in USSR years and he actually ordered his generals to make ready his nuclear arsenals, I do think that he has no apprehensions in using it. We got a maniac in the Kremlin, we do have to pray hard so that maybe that catastrophe will not happen. @mineopoly
