There was an agreement with the USA government to assist my country the Philippines to make use an energy source which will finally reduce the cost of electricity in my country. In my country the cost of electricity is the 2nd most high in our region and it does affects the economy badly because it makes the products and services to go high just like when the oil price go high.

Aside from geothermal and hydro-electric powerplants my country also uses coal-fired powerplants but it is not enough to reduce the cost of electricity. It needs to be resolved in order to support the growth of this country and make it more competitive particularly in the manufacturing sector from foreign companies, it will make them more attracted if the cost of manufacturing their products and or services to go cheaper if there will be a cheaper source of electricity and the nuclear powerplant goes available.

It is too bad that the ongoing building of nuclear powerplant back in the late 70's or early 80's got white elephanted by the successor of the administration that tried to build it for the benefit of the country as the communist and the vengeful Aquino government stopped its development and in turn the government is paying until this time just to not let it rot in the province of Bataan.

I know that a nuclear powerplant has its risks but the modern technology and protocols for its operation will unlikely cause a disastrous event. The benefits from its use is more then the risks so I guess that it is high time for my country to get a nuclear powerplant tin order to help my country grow economically after its use.

I do not know how the agreement for the support of USA government for my country to build another nuclear powerplant but we will see in the future if the next president with a decent competence and love of country will support it.

We are earthquake-prone country. So builders must be Japanese who got the experience in this and not Chinese or Pinoys so the structure would be tough.

Yes you have a point but now there are safeguards, rules, protocols, careful planning, procedures, safety standards, and mitigation among others plus high tech in order to run a nuclear power station and for certain the earthquake factor will also be put in consideration.
