Yesterday I used our Barrio's ambulance again for going to the dialysis clinic, I was dripped there and then picked-up again with my mother accompanying me although she didn't stayed there because there is not a need and she will just be put in a much discomfort if she did.
I can't really sit in the Ambulance so I just lay down on my back but with my feet on the ground. I am worried that a bump on the road might hurt my back because I am just sitting free on the Ambulance bed without support on my back if I choose to sit over its end.
There is a chair built-in inside the ambulance at the center just at the back of the driver and it is where my mother sits down. There is a very good A/C inside the ambulance and it gets cooler if you will stay inside for along time which is why my hands would get cold and I have to put them between my chin and chest just to keep them warm.
It is too cold inside the dialysis treatment area now, I happen to get the shivers once in a while even though I am using two socks and a fleece stocking/thick sock running up to my upper legs and two blankets plus a long fleece gloves running up to my underarm covering my whole arm including my hands and still I feel like I am an Eskimo outside its igloo.
The thick and long fleece socks/stocking really helps me with battling the raging coldness of the A/C inside the dialysis treatment area. It is now regularly cleaned/maintained because it always fails to function well during the times that the filter is dirty because it was not regularly cleaned back then. But now the hospital figured-out that to prevent breakage like what happened before, they have to keep it clean so that it will always work in tip-top shape.
The hospital also banned the nurses from fiddling the controls and is the reason for the A/C in not working in its optimum function. That is why they took the remote control and placed a sign over the push button controls in front of the A/C to prevent them from accessing the control.
Now the A/C is working optimally because of regular maintenance which is why I am like a meat inside a refrigerator especially if all the patients had been hooked-up and the nurses are just chill'n again, going up from their if the need to push some buttons on the dialysis machines of patients. It is at that point in time, the dialysis machines are not much producing heat from disinfection after the first batch of patients had finished with their sessions as these machines uses very hot water to run through its hoses to kill some pathogens that can harm the patients.
But now in contrast as I went back home, it is different, way more different as the temperatures changed now because the month of February had ended and the hot and dry season is in full effect. It is too uncomfortable but at least my hands and feet are not getting cold as cadaver especially during the night time.
What is good about the weather here in my country is that you get a break from suffering from enduring the heat during the day. But at night you can be comfortable but only if you use electric fans which serve two purposes, one is to help you cool-off whether you are just sitting around, maybe eating, relaxing, and most especially sleeping because you sure cannot be able to sleep without one of the most essential appliances here in my "neck of the woods" considering that it also gets too humid in some moths like now.
The electric fan also wards-off some mosquitoes although if you would use it outside your house where you will be planning to sleep, the mosquitoes will still get you particularly in places of your body where the wind is not strong enough to shoo those mosquitoes away. But if there just a few of them, soon the electric fan's blades will suck them to kill them eventually and helps with the mosquito population inside your house.
So it is much better to have a screen installed on the windows and extra aluminum door with screen or a second door for that matter to help prevent the entry of these potentially very deadly insects especially when it is a season of flying termites where there are so many of them and they get attracted to lights at night and they enter the house and it is not good because they will be everywhere and might enter your ear and that is scary.
Anyway, I feel like in a dragon's mouth now, but I am okay with it because I get to shed some extra fluid from now on through my skin's pores and it will make me feel better because at the same time I will be more liberal about my fluid consumption. It is important to me not to be overloaded with fluids because it does make me hard to move around while breathless and it does make me breathless quickly if the season is cold and I am not able to perspire. So it is a gift for me to experience the hot season, it feels great to take a bath especially now that it is easy for me to walk to the bathroom compared before.
At the moment of this writing, it is now 38 degrees Celsius at 12:22 PM and I bet that in the coming weeks I can experience a much brutal temperatures, so much so that the radiating heat coming from the ceiling will begin to hurt my skin here on my bed while I am laying down most of the time. Often times before I will stop working/using on my Laptop so that I can free it from overheating as everything in around the house will begin to feel very warm to the touch.
I would try to sleep it off if I will feel sleepy enough which is my own way of getting away from the discomfort of the heat during these times. now I would also place my smartphone below my bed so that it will be away from the radiating heat and not get too warm as I am protecting its battery life because heat is a big factor about battery degradation.
For now I am trying to cope again with the changing weather and the need for my body with this type of temperatures is outweighing the discomfort it will bring. It is weird but due to my physical circumstances I have to bask in it for the aforementioned benefits as discussed but the hot and dry season will not last too much because of the inevitable onset of the Monsoon rains plus the regular visits of Typhoons with its variable levels of strength with its rain and wind.
