Hola amigos, deseo que estén muy bien. Me ha costado muchísimo ver crecer plantas de frutas y ornamentales en todo el terreno disponible de mi casa. El mayor impedimento o la limitación es que no está delimitado o cercado, lo que acarrea que haya tránsito de otras personas y de animales.

Como pueden ver es un terreno bastante amplio, me encantaría tener árboles frutales además de un inmenso y bello jardín. No pude hacerlo cuando las condiciones estaban regulares, ahora menos. El costo para cualquier ampliación o modificación en la estructura de una vivienda amerita de muchos recursos. Sin embargo trato de al menos tenerlo siempre limpio. Motivado a las lluvias el monte o arbusto crece de manera desmedida, por lo que hay que limpiar o desmalezar una vez al mes. Gracias a un vecino quien me hace este trabajo a un precio bastante accesible para mí hoy puedo verlo limpio, pero está lloviendo a diario por lo que pronto estará de nuevo verdecito el patio. En la foto puedes ver el antes y el ahora.

Hace unos días recogí unas semillas de plantas de coquetas de los jardines de una vecina, las esparcí por un pequeño espacio de tierra que hay en frente de mi casa. Crecieron rápido, ya estaban a punto de florecer, pero mi vecino cuando limpió me las cortó. No entendí por qué lo hizo ya que le pedí que no lo hiciera. Tal vez estaba desconcentrado.

Ahora que vino a limpiar el patio trasero le recalqué que si veía plantas de frutas en crecimiento no las cortara. Empezó su faena bien temprano.

Hay muchas maneras de ayudarnos entre nosotros, él siempre viene buscando hacer algún trabajo y yo siempre estoy necesitando ayuda. Es un señor trabajador al que le tengo aprecio. En la imagen pueden ver un tronco atravesado, era un árbol de guayaba. Tuvimos que tumbarlo ya que sus raíces estaban levantando parte del concreto cercano.

En el momento de descanso almorzamos y aproveché para reprocharle porque me había cortado las plantas de Coquetas. Se sonrió y dijo que estaba avergonzado por eso.
No puedo negar que estoy muy triste aún, sin embargo lo comprendo, a veces nuestra mente nos juega una mala pasada y cometemos errores. Igualmente le repetí que no cortara las plantas frutales que encontrara. Por ejemplo esta de lechoza que verás en la imagen.

Lamentablemente a esta planta la visitan con frecuencia los bachacos, por lo que apenas tiene hojas nuevas ellos se las comen. De verdad que no he tenido ningún éxito como agricultora, de lo que he sembrado casi nada he podido cosechar.

Hace unos días compré cebollín, aproveché los tallos para sembrarlos y tener un poco de este alimento en casa, deseo que crezcan y poder usarlos en las próximas comidas o tal vez en el guiso para las hallacas. Uno de mis propósitos para el próximo año es insistir hasta poder ver el patio repleto de árboles y de un hermoso jardín.

As you can see it is quite a large piece of land, I would love to have fruit trees in addition to a huge and beautiful garden. I couldn't do it when the conditions were regular, now even less so. The cost for any extension or modification in the structure of a house requires a lot of resources. However, I try to at least keep it always clean. Due to the rains, the bushes grow in an excessive way, so it is necessary to clean or weed once a month. Thanks to a neighbor who does this work at a very affordable price for me, today I can see it clean, but it is raining daily so soon the yard will be green again. In the picture you can see the before and now.

A few days ago I picked some seeds of coquette plants from a neighbor's garden, I spread them in a small space of land in front of my house. They grew fast, they were already about to bloom, but my neighbor when he cleaned up cut them off. I didn't understand why he did it since I asked him not to. Maybe he was unfocused.

Now that he came to clean the backyard I stressed to him that if he saw fruit plants growing he should not cut them. He started his chore early in the morning.

There are many ways we help each other, he always comes in looking to do some work and I am always in need of help. He is a hard working gentleman whom I appreciate. In the picture you can see a trunk that was broken, it was a guava tree. We had to take it down as its roots were lifting up some of the concrete nearby.

During the break we had lunch and I took the opportunity to reproach him for cutting down my Coquetas plants. He smiled and said he was embarrassed about it.
I can't deny that I am still very sad, however I understand, sometimes our mind plays tricks on us and we make mistakes. I also told him not to cut the fruit plants he found. For example this lechoza that you will see in the image.

Unfortunately this plant is frequently visited by bachacos, so as soon as it has new leaves they eat them. I really have not had any success as a farmer, of what I have sown I have been able to harvest almost nothing.

A few days ago I bought chives, I took advantage of the stalks to plant them and have some of this food at home, I want them to grow and be able to use them in the next meals or maybe in the stew for the hallacas. One of my resolutions for next year is to insist until I can see the yard full of trees and a beautiful garden.
