Nada más bello y profundo que el verdadero sentimiento de amor y amistad que recibimos de nuestros seres queridos. La reciprocidad se valora. Cuando ofrecemos nuestro cariño y afecto a personas que no lo aprecian sufrimos de desengaños y desilusiones, pero cuando el sentimiento es mutuo y sincero se disfruta muchísimo. Podrían pasar mil años sin encontrarnos con las personas que queremos y ese cariño se mantendrá intacto.

Tal es el caso de mi sincera y bonita amistad con Pedro, nos conocimos hace muchos años. Lamentablemente motivado a la #Pandemia y otros factores habíamos dejado de vernos. Mantenemos comunicación por teléfono siempre. La distancia entre nosotros es más geográfica que de tiempo. Los verdaderos amigos buscamos la hora, el momento y el lugar para compartir. Actualmente estos espacios los ofrece la tecnología permitiéndonos interactuar a pesar de las distancias o fronteras físicas.

Nothing more beautiful and profound than the true feeling of love and friendship we receive from our loved ones. Reciprocity is valued. When we offer our love and affection to people who do not appreciate it, we suffer disappointments and disillusionments, but when the feeling is mutual and sincere, we enjoy it very much. A thousand years could go by without meeting the people we love and that affection will remain intact.

Such is the case of my sincere and beautiful friendship with Pedro, we met many years ago. Unfortunately due to #Pandemia and other factors we had stopped seeing each other. We always keep in touch by phone. The distance between us is more geographical than of time. True friends look for the time, the moment and the place to share. Nowadays these spaces are offered by technology allowing us to interact despite distances or physical boundaries.

Después de tres años sin estar juntos él vino de visita a la ciudad. Tuvimos la oportunidad de pasar varias horas conversando, poniéndonos al día con lo que ha sido nuestras vidas realmente. Por el teléfono nos limitamos un poco. Nos conformamos con saber que estamos bien sin entrar en detalles. Pedro me conoce bastante, él sabe que me gusta pasear por los centros comerciales, comer y tomar café. Le gusta hablar de todo, disfruta muchísimo probar nuevos platillos y visitar diferentes restaurantes. En eso congeneamos. Me motiva salir de la casa porque sé que la voy a pasar bien.

After three years of not being together he came to town for a visit. We had the opportunity to spend several hours talking, catching up on what our lives have really been like. On the phone we limited ourselves a bit. We are content to let each other know that we are doing well without going into details. Pedro knows me well, he knows I like to walk around the malls, eat and drink coffee. He likes to talk about everything, he enjoys trying new dishes and visiting different restaurants. That's what we agree on. It motivates me to get out of the house because I know I'm going to have a good time.

Tenemos algunas diferencias de criterio en temas relacionados con el hogar, la familia y los hijos. A veces evado o evito tocarlos para que nuestro momento juntos sean de total agrado. No discutimos por casi nada. Yo soy una persona muy pasiva, al primer intento de discrepancias acaloradas me voy retirando. Los encuentros entre amigos son para pasarlos bien. Ya la vida nos da gratuitamente los peores momentos.

Nuestra amistad se cultiva con la comunicación permanente, la sinceridad y el respeto entre ambos. Para mí es de suma importancia que respeten mis espacios. Por eso son muy pocos los amigos que tengo. Estoy muy agradecida con Pedro. Junto a él he vivido bonitas experiencias. Deseo que siempre tengamos tiempo para nosotros. Me alegra mucho que aún esté en Venezuela ya que tenía la intención de mudarse.

We have some differences of opinion on issues related to home, family and children. Sometimes I avoid or avoid touching them so that our time together is completely pleasant. We don't argue about almost anything. I am a very passive person, at the first attempt of heated disagreements I withdraw. The meetings between friends are to have a good time. Life gives us the worst moments for free.

Our friendship is cultivated with permanent communication, sincerity and respect for each other. For me it is of the utmost importance that they respect my space. That is why I have very few friends. I am very grateful to Pedro. I have had beautiful experiences with him. I wish that we always have time for each other. I am very happy that he is still in Venezuela as he had the intention to move.
