This weekend I accepted the invitation of a great friend, we went out to eat and take a walk outside the city. The ride was very pleasant and I enjoyed his company. When we drive our own vehicle the rides are usually more relaxing as we can have the time at our leisure. Driving along the national highway and enjoying the villages and hamlets has always been a pleasure for me. There is nothing more relaxing and pleasurable than enjoying nature while we are on our way to our destination.
Este fin de semana acepté la invitación de un gran amigo, salimos a comer y dar un paseo por fuera de la ciudad. El recorrido se hizo muy ameno y disfruté de su compañía. Cuando andamos en vehículo propio los paseos suelen ser más relajantes ya que podemos disponer del tiempo a nuestro antojo. Conducir por la carretera nacional y disfrutar de pueblos y caseríos siempre me ha gustado. Nada más relajante y placentero que disfrutar de la naturaleza mientras vamos en vía a nuestro destino.

Tenía entendido que la parcha era una fruta parecida a la parchita o también conocida como maracuyá, pero no. Esta parcha es una fruta gigantesca. Cada una a un costo de 4 bsd o el equivalente a 0,90$ aproximadamente.

We bought four parchas. When I got home I washed them and put them in the fridge.

Estando ya bien frías abrí una y pude verla por dentro. Es muy similar a la parchita. Las semillas son mucho más grandes y ovaladas, cubiertas por una piel blanca transparente. La pulpa bastante gruesa y de concha o piel delgada. Me gustó mucho el aroma.
The lady had suggested me to prepare it in juice. Just remove the skin, cut into pieces, add water, sugar and blend. If you want you can strain it. You can also add milk and make merengada. Other people prepare a sweet like manjar, but I don't know the recipe.
La señora me había sugerido prepararla en jugo. Solo quitando la piel, cortando en pedazos, agregando agua, azúcar y licuando. Si lo deseas la puedes colar. También puedes agregarle leche y hacer merengada. Otras personas preparan un dulce tipo manjar, pero no me sé la receta.
I'm sure you will like this juice. Here we made it and we liked it very much. We did not take a picture of the smoothie, but I guarantee it was very good. Do not bind it with seeds. When it is served, add a portion of seeds to enhance the flavor.

Seguro que este jugo te gustará. Acá hicimos y nos gustó mucho. No tomamos fotografía del licuado, pero les garantizo que quedó muy bueno. No lo licues con las semillas. Al tenerlo servido agregas una porción de semillas para resaltar el sabor.
