On Friday our araguaney bloomed. This is the National Tree of Venezuela and at this time they begin to bloom throughout the national territory. Although this time I think the one in my urbanization came a little earlier, because we usually see the mountains painted yellow and that is when our tree blossoms, but this time our tree blossomed first than those in the mountains, so we were privileged.
El viernes nuestro araguaney floreció. Este es el árbol Nacional de Venezuela y en esta época empiezan a florecer en todo el territorio nacional. Aunque en esta oportunidad creo que el de mi urbanización se adelantó un poco, porque generalmente vemos las montañas pintadas de amarillo y es cuando nuestro árbol florece, pero esta vez nuestro árbol floreció primero que los de las montañas, así que fuimos privilegiados.
The beautiful thing about this tree is that when it blooms, it is filled with flowers and there is not a single green leaf, you only see beautiful bouquets of intense yellow flowers, which unfortunately last between 4 to 5 days alive, bright and in all their splendor, then the tree returns to its normal state.
Lo hermoso de este árbol es que cuando florece, todo él se llena de flores y no hay ni una hoja verde, sólo ves hermosos ramilletes de flores amarillo intenso, que lamentablemente duran entre 4 a 5 días vivas, brillantes y en todo su esplendor, luego el árbol vuelve a su estado normal.
This beautiful tree only blooms once a year and is very eye-catching. During the year it is a tree that does not attract attention, it is very simple and just before it blooms, it is completely without leaves and you begin to see the buds of future flowers. These photos that you see below I took on Thursday at 2 in the afternoon, just the day before it bloomed. There he was full of buttons and in less than 24 it dresses up to show us his hidden beauty.
Este hermoso árbol solo florece una vez al año y es muy llamativo. Durante el año es un árbol que no llama la atención, es muy simple y justo antes de florecer, queda completamente sin hojas y empiezas a ver los botones de las futuras flores. Estas fotos que ven a continuación las tomé el jueves a las 2 de la tarde, justo el día anterior al que floreció. Allí estaba lleno de botones y en menos de 24 se viste gala para mostrarnos su belleza escondida.

Acá en mi localidad hay una zona donde puedes ver al lado de la carretera este espectáculo por alrededor de un Kilómetro, es la zona universitaria, se ve espectacular, espero que cuando estén en su esplendor pueda ir y tomar unas fotografías. En mi casa tenemos uno, del cual hemos podido tomar sus semillas y hemos podido plantarlas en algunos cerros y también en espacios más urbanos. Es una labor ya que en tiempos de extrema sequía debemos suministrarle agua por goteo.
Debe ser todo un espectáculo ver tantas flores juntas. Me encanta que los planten en otros lugares. No sabía que necesitaban tanto cuidado para crecer.
Es algo como una labor familiar, solemos recolectar semillas de varios árboles como Samån, Apamate, y los plantamos... El punto es que muchas veces la sequía es tan fuerte (espero este año no sea tan pronunciada) que debemos plantearnos ofrecerles agua por goteo... Ya hemos podido ver muchos árboles crecer y eso da mucha alegría.

Se debe ver espectacular esa carretera, ojalá puedas fotografiarlos cuando estén floreados, igualmente al que tienes en tu casa. Una vez agarré semillas de este árbol pero no sé si nacieron porque las lanzamos por una caminería que hay acá en la urbanización en la última etapa.

Amo los árboles de Araguaney, siempre espero el mes de mayo para verlos florecer. Algunas veces cuando llueve florecen antes de tiempo. Tal vez tengas la suerte de que vuelva a florecer cuando le toque. 😀
Así era antes, ellos florecían en mayo pero desde hace 2 años, se han adelantado, igualmente ocurre con los lirios silvestres, ya no abren en mayo sino en marzo mas o menos, el año pasado los de mi ventana abrieron en enero, fue una sorpresa.

Hola amiga, sabes que en Trujillo en mi casa hay varios de estos árboles. Yo de niña no entendía porque se desnuda todo sin ojotas y luego se ponía todo amarillito y bonito. Hermosas fotos las que nos muestras hoy!!

I love trees just like that, they are like gigantic bouquet of flowers @blessed-girl. Here in my place we have such trees like the Fire Tree, it has a bright red flowers and it would be majestic if it would be planted on long highways and make a good attraction to people because it is just very stunning to look at.
Here on the highway leaving my city there is a section that has flanboyán trees, this tree when it blooms is beautiful, it flowers between orange and red, it is beautiful, and unlike the araguaney, its flowers last about a month, that section of the Highway looks very beautiful when those flamboyans are in bloom.
