Watadhageya - Polonnaruwa

Watadhageya is one of the best example for the greatness of ancient Sri Lankan architecture. This is a very important building which was used to locate the relics of lord Buddha and to perform religious activities to show respect to the relics. This watadhageya at Polonnaruwa is considered as the first temple of tooth. That mean's it's a temple which used to protect the tooth relic of lord Buddha. You can read more information from here
