Rock Inscriptions , in sinhala we call " Sel lipi" are facts written on rock surfaces. In ancient times there was a habit in Sri Lanka to write down important facts in stone surfaces , for example facts like laws , traditions , rulers information etc. Actually Sri Lanka had the technology of writing on papers at that time.
