MY FIRST DAY AT THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (ICU)

I reported to My new ward today quite excited because it is one of the areas I'll like to specialize in one day, but on reaching ICU my anticipations cut-off. Intensive care unit is an organized system for the provision of care to critically ill patients that provides intensive and specialized medical and nursing care.
I got to work, at the doorsteps , I saw multiple combo of advanced machineries, I felt so good, until work began in ernest, during a bed bath procedure, I watched the Intensivist working deligently and happily and I thought and my asked myself, is this price I ought to pay for been an Intensivist?
Anyways, that is something I will ponder on during my quiet time but, one thing I know is I've always wanted to be a nurse. While I was mediating on this I saw the pain my patient was going through and in that very moment I became grateful to my creator. We often forget that everything we receive free of charge is a gift from our creator, We don't pay for oxygen, we don't pay to see another day, we are hale and hearty and it is not by our power. As you read through this post, please count your blessings from your creator and say a short prayer in gratitude also say a short prayer for the sick that they may receive permanent healing. I hope that after reading this we will be able to thank our creator more often for the wonderful gifts we receive from him on a daily basis. Always remember to be thankful, gracias 😇
