In the last few years, farmers' interest in farming has decreased, but there are many farmers who are moving away from traditional farming and earning good profits from vegetable farming.
Devi Prasad (55 years), a farmer from Murarma village of Sareni block, about 52 km west of the district headquarters, has been farming for the last several years. With the profits made through farming, he has bought vehicles and many animals and is today known as a successful farmer in his field.
Devi Prasad says, "Father's shadow was removed from my head in my childhood itself. There was a lot of poverty and we had a little land, so for the treatment of our mother, we mortgaged our land for Rs. 300. I have only one job in the name of talent. There was only farming. Apart from this, I did not know anything else. I started cultivating vegetables by sharing my own land and went from village to village selling vegetables with a basket on my head. I got good profits every year and I paid off my mortgage. Got rid of the lying land. Today I have several bighas of land and a lot of animals
I also advise all farmer brothers to cultivate vegetables along with paddy and wheat, because vegetable cultivation is cash farming. Earn from that and invest in that, there is no need to spend out of pocket."
The most important of these five things is natural compatibility. Because nothing is possible without the cooperation of nature and production depends only on natural compatibility.
