A NEW ERA FOR AFRICA

Africa is a continent of mostly black people with their beliefs about dress, their culture, as well as their food and lifestyle.

It can be said that the Africa of today is slowly losing it's value and belief's as civilization as affected us greatly in so many ways both negativity and positively. In the old days of Africa, our culture and belief's were held in high esteem as culture is what makes us Africans.
Civilization has greatly affected the young minds of the African youth as they tend to put away the things that make them Africans. we have greatly neglected the culture, ways and belief's of those that proceeded us.

Ladies have embraced a modern way of dressing (according to them),women of today, tend to wear inappropriate and reveling clothes in other to feel attractive and beautiful. But things weren't done like this as the African woman tends to cover her body and still looked extremely beautiful. She tends to keep herself clean until when she get's married.what happen to our curly thick natural hair that was the real envy of others?.I guess we could say that with the rate at which natural hair products sell these days we are going back to our roots.

Even our most regarded culture is becoming obsolete, the stories and folktales are almost no more.
Tales by moonlight stories which were mostly told in the evenings are no more, these were bonding time for kids and time to learn from the wisdom of the old.

We some how didn't even feel the impact of the whole scolding process, but am sure most of us can relate to the ways of discipline our parents were brought up with and the little we collected ourselves (floggings) according to our parents in their days, you could be beating for almost anything from, coming back home after sun sets, eating at a neighbors and for not answering when been spoken to,as funny as it may sound, sometimes they were been beaten for not joining their mates to play, for going to play football with their mates and even refusing to eat. sometimes flogged for generally been too Moody or happy and a lot of other reasons, and some of these reasons for beating a child might appear far-fetched today but they sure did happen and they are the norms that shaped the adults of today.

It is believed that the civilization of the westerns, which was imposed on the African lands has greatly affected our beliefs, customs, tradition and as well as our way of life but I guess it's true what they say that sometimes you have to loss something sometimes to gain so much as we are slowly defiling the odds and more people are been giving access to wealth. AFRICA will not loss it's Identity if we remember our roots.
