Constantly we have made many rules in the agriculture sector and we are following those rules because if they are not followed then all the farmers and creditors will suffer. I can remove the sufferings of the farmers and put a smile on their faces by standing next to them. I hope you will also agree with my post. I will try to show you a very instructive topic which is very necessary for every farmer and make this post for skill acquisition. And I will share some of our banana tricks with you so let's not delay good luck and with this good wish let's start today's topic.

First we will talk about the rules of sweeping in paddy fields and how to do it and what rules to follow when going to the paddy field to sound the disease. First of all, it is said that one should take a hand net while eating paddy and first the rice fields are arranged in a row, first number four, number four, then number 7, then number 11, then number 14, number 18 and number 20. If any disease is affected then the height of the rice should be measured, how many centimeters the height is then the number of buds should be counted and then the root of the rice should be checked to see if it is affected by any disease. It should be seen that it is affected by the disease. After seeing it, the control method should be adopted in that way. The method of swiping is to sweep from the right side to the left side with a hand net and once from the left side to the right side, then when it comes back, it will be swept once and after catching the insects with this hand net. It should be seen that what kind of insects are there in the paddy field and by gaining detailed knowledge about them, we should adopt methods to suppress those insects. I will be able to stand next to every farmer and try to put a smile on their face because only if we can suppress the insects in the land, then the rice of the land will be healthy and grainy.

On Wednesday (November 3) evening, a 'light trap' was set up in Kashipur block of the upazila. The agriculture officials said that the light trap operation will continue in the field until the paddy ripens.

A visit to an Aman field in Barabila village shows an electric lamp suspended by three poles next to the paddy field. A vessel of water is placed under the lamp, containing water mixed with detergent. As soon as the lamp is lit, various harmful insects of the crop land are coming and dying in the water kept below. In this way, the presence of harmful insects in the crop field is determined using light traps. This is done with electric lamps, chargers and solar lamps.

Sheikh Atiyar Rahman, a farmer of Kashipur village and Altaf Hossain, a farmer of Barabila village, said that the light trap is made of three bamboo sticks, an electric light, and a container of water. This trap is placed near the land in the evening. Different species of insects rushed out of the dark paddy field and got caught in the light trap. Harmful insects are identified from trapped insects and pesticides and chemicals are applied in the right amount on them.

They say, earlier using different types of pesticides and chemicals did not give any benefit. But using light traps to identify insects and use pesticides and chemicals in the right amount is beneficial.

According to Upazila Agriculture Office sources, Aman paddy has been planted on 9,605 hectares of land in Tala Upazila this year. Due to lack of awareness during the planting season, many farmers apply pesticides before pests attack the field. It kills many beneficial insects of the crop land. Farmers are being encouraged to use this technology to apply insecticides to paddy fields after detecting the presence of harmful insects using light traps.
