Gurutee is one of the mountains that is often used as a stopover when going to Aceh Jaya with extraordinary natural phenomena. This place is a favorite area for motorists who want to take a break while enjoying the beauty of small islands and the sea from the height of the altitude.
In line map, Gurutee is located at the border point between Aceh Jaya Regency and Aceh Besar Regency. If from Banda Aceh, to get there, tourists must at least travel a distance of approximately 80 kilometers or 1.4 hours away using motor vehicles or other means of transportation.
The condition of the road to get there is quite good with asphalt as wide as 3 meters making it easy for us to climb using ordinary vehicles, but a bit extreme because the right side of the road directly faces the ravine and cliffs on the left side when from the direction of Banda Aceh which often landslides when in heavy rain.
Gurutee is actually also part of the world's lung forests with dense and green forests which are rarely encroached by humans or even by illegal loggers. People around call this area is the Ulu Masen area.
The vast expanse of sea and the cluster of small islands that are visible before the eyes that border directly with the Indian Ocean is an amazing view that is bordered by the wide white sand lined when we are above Gurutee. This charm makes it difficult for anyone passing through this region without momentarily enjoying its beauty.
