Let's learn about Surah Al-Fatiha, The first Surah of the Holy Quran.

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.
This is my first blog after the introduction to this platform. I have shared one of my classes where we are discussing Surah Al-Fatiha and some verses of Al-Baqarah as well.

We are going to discuss more Surah Al-Baqarah in upcoming blogs and currently focus on Surah Al-Fatiha for this particular blog.

About Surah Al-Fatiha

Surah Al-Fatiha ( Sural Al-Shifa, Al-Waafi, Al-Kaafi ) is the first surah or we can say the first chapter of the Holy Quran, which is the holy book of Islam. It is considered the most important Surah in the Quran and is recited in every unit of obligatory prayers (Salah) by Muslims all over the world. The Surah is also known as the "Opening" because it serves as an introduction to the Quran.

The Surah consists of seven verses and is a prayer to Allah, seeking His guidance, help, and mercy. It begins with the phrase "Bismillah Hir-Rahman Nir-Rahim," which means "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful." This phrase is recited before every surah except Surah Tawba.

Surah Al-Fatiha is divided into two parts. The first part is a declaration of the greatness and sovereignty of Allah, and the second part is a request for guidance and help from Allah. The Surah emphasizes the importance of seeking Allah's guidance in all aspects of life and highlights the key characteristics of Allah, such as His mercy and compassion.

Muslims believe that Surah Al-Fatiha is a source of great blessings, and reciting it during prayer is a means of connecting with Allah and seeking His blessings. The Surah is also used for healing purposes and is believed to have a powerful effect on the body and soul.

Overall, Surah Al-Fatiha is a powerful and essential chapter of the Quran that is central to the Muslim faith and worship.
