In this post, we are going to mention about Biscuit Cake or Biscuit Pudding Cake recipe. It comes from British Cuisine, but some experts said that "it is also found in Irish, Danish and Jewish cuisines". We are not sure that how it comes to Mediterranean region and our country and becomes popular. But, especially, in 80s and 90s, Biscuit Pudding Cake was very popular dessert throughout the Anatolia. This delicious and sensational biscuits pudding recipe which is best enjoyed chilled on the hot summer days. Is It for only the hot summer days? Ofcourse Not, we love and consume Biscuit Cake all around the year. However some of our friends or our relatives find this dessert as an old-fashioned dessert or old-fashioned granny sweet, most of the Turkish people love and consume this dessert very often. Actually, everyone likes this simple biscuit pudding cake and especially children: they just love it very much. And, also this biscuit pudding cake recipe needs really very few ingredients.

How to make Biscuit Pudding:
As we said above of the this post; this is a very simple and delicious pudding. And, maybe it is one of the easiest, simple and yummy cake one can make. Plus, this Biscuit Pudding Cake is very budget friendly and is made using very simple ingredients that most of us have in their refrigerators and pantries. They are vanilla extract, egg, all porque of flour (or Corn flour), wheat or Corn starch, cocoa powder or chocolate (or both of them - in this recipe, we used only cocoa powder) milk and biscuit. In this recipe, we used our famous biscuit brand Ülker. Ülker petit beurre biscuits. But İnstead öf our biscuits you can also use Marie Biscuits or any of your favourite biscuits, sweet crackers or digestive biscuits.

Here it is a very easy recipe to make Biscuit Pudding Cake.

Serving
4-6 Servings, Preparation Time: 10-15 minutes, Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes, Cuisine: British Cuisine, Food Type: Vegetarian.
Ingredients:
1 Cartoon of milk - 1 liter milk (Nearly 5 Cups),
4 or 5 heaping tablespoons of flour, (or Corn flour - in this recipe, we used flour)
1 tablespoon starch (wheat or Corn starch does not matter),
1/2 or 1 Cup of granulated sugar,
2 or 3 heaping tablespoons of cocoa powder,
1 egg, (it is optional, in this Biscuits Cake Recipe, we prefered the eggless way )
1 or 1,5 packets (300 gr) of petit beurre biscuits (or a pack of Marie Biscuits or whole wheat biscuits or sweet crackers),
A drop of vanilla extract,
Preparation:
First of all put your all ingredients (milk, flour, vanilla extract, starch, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, 1or 1,5 packets (300 gr) of petit beurre biscuits and if you want you can put an egg on it) on the work-table. Then, pour 1 Carton of milk into a large and deep saucepan and heat it up. At the same time, add flour, vanilla extract, starch, cocoa powder, and sugar (if you use egg add egg into it) into the large and deep sauceoan and whisk until well mixed (mix well to make a smooth paste). Let this mixture boil and thicken over a medium heat. Please dont stop, keep stirring the mixture. If you feel tired your arm, change your arm but dont stop, stir constantly. Bye the way, ensure there are no lumps formed. If it is happened. Dont worry about the lumps, keep heated a little while more and keep stirring, they will dissolve. When your pudding (mixture) becomes thick and creamy. Your pudding is ready. Remove it from the heat and set aside. Then, place one row petit beurre biscuits into a 23-30 or 25-35 cm baking pan. Then, pour 1/3 of the pudding over the petit beurre biscuits. Then, place another row of petit beurre biscuits over the pudding. Then, pour half of the remaining pudding over. Lastly, place another row of petit beurre biscuits and pour the remaining pudding. It is done. Set aside in the fridge for at least 4-5 hours (overnight for best result) before serving. If you want you can garnish with walnuts and a couple of pinch grated coconut. Serve cold (Especially, in hot summer days serve chilled).
