My friend last two weeks, though much older than the face, in a prison for what he did not directly do, as an estate manager, he secured a deal to buy a landed property for a client, the transaction was negotiated and he found and reported back to the client, it was agreed that it will be paid on (three) 3 installments, so the client paid for two but on the third installement, it was discovered that unfortunately the owner of the property absconded with the money that he had been given without dropping the keys or document to the said property. His client arrested him due to the fact that they could not locate the seller or their money or claim ownership of the property and my friend was the one who transacted the business as a middleman and the money was paid into his account so he was sent to prison. On visiting him, I learnt to appreciate what it means to have FREEDOM, freedom of communication, free dom to use social media, freedom to eat whatever you want, freedom to take a walk, freedom to bath and be clean, freedom of association, freedom to make your own choices, freedom to be respected, freedom to privacy,freedom to take ownership of your time and mind, freedom to own your body, freedom to fresh air, etc, talking about humiliation,starvation, undignifying attitude of some waders, the trauma, the stigma and hurt knowing you did not deserve to be here.
