Protection is an instinct that relates to basic survival. In all cases of protection, to goal is to avoid harm or damage in some manner.
protecting from risk, tyranny and other dilemmas are simple on the surface but protection itself is somewhat flawed if not thought about carefully.
What is the concept of harm and damage? Could the infliction of verbal abuse cause damage and harm or is the party concerned more about the repercussions and backlash that can come as a result of the inflicted damage.
Protection can easily turn into harm and it's important to be conscious of how it is designed and deployed. We protect to survive but often at the expense of others.
