Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the founder of Islam and is considered by Muslims to be the last prophet and messenger of God. He was born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 570 CE and began receiving revelations from God through the angel Gabriel at the age of 40. These revelations form the basis of the Islamic holy book, the Quran.

Prophet Muhammad spent his life preaching and teaching the message of Islam, which emphasizes monotheism, social justice, and moral behavior. He also established a community of believers in Medina, which later became the first Islamic state.

Prophet Muhammad is highly revered by Muslims as a religious and political leader, and his life and teachings continue to be an important influence on the faith and culture of Muslims around the world.

Let us know more about our Prophet's Life and teaching.

Childhood

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born into a prominent family in Mecca, but his early life was marked by tragedy. The father of our prophet Muhammad (PBUH) passed away before the birth of our prophet (PBUH) and his mother also passed away when he was only six years old. So he was taken care by his grandfather and uncle later.

Revelation

At the age of 40, while meditating in a cave on Mount Hira, Prophet Muhammad received his first revelation from God through the angel Gabriel. He initially feared he was going insane, but his wife Khadijah and his cousin Ali both believed in the divine nature of his experiences and supported him.

Preaching

Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) began preaching the message of Islam in Mecca, but he faced opposition from many of the city's powerful elites who were invested in the traditional pagan religion. He and his followers were subjected to persecution and violence, which led to their migration to Medina in 622 CE. This also marked the beginning of Islamic Calendar and the event is known as Hijra.

Leadership

In Medina, Prophet Muhammad established a community of believers and became its political and religious leader. He organized the community's affairs, developed a constitution based on social justice and mutual responsibility, and led the first military campaigns against Mecca and its allies.
