To the extent that you believe it's just a matter of delaying things, you are somewhat correct. But we are profoundly impacted by procrastination. In actuality, it has an impact on more than just our inability to complete tasks. Most individuals are unaware of the fact that procrastination has an impact on our mental and physical health in addition to our life, productivity, and happiness. The following are a few of the most detrimental and least evident results of procrastination:

PROCRASTINATION'S EFFECTS:

1 . LIMITING BELIEFS.
Postponing tasks leads to the development and reinforcement of self-limiting ideas about your capabilities and possibilities in life. Eventually, these convictions become who you are, and you begin to put things off more and more. You don't reach your full potential and your life begins to slide downward when you begin to lose confidence in who you are and what you are capable of. You'll doubt yourself more and more, start to perceive yourself as a failure, and end up creating more of what you don't want. Effective emotion management is essential for controlling procrastination and avoiding the adoption of limiting beliefs.

2 . MISSED CHANCES.
How many times have you missed out on opportunities because you didn't seize them when they presented themselves? Did you intend to apply for a job but postponed until after the deadline? Or was there a course that you could have taken to further your profession but you put it off till it was full? There were times when the consequences of delaying things caused you to feel quite sorry for yourself. You fail to see that the opportunity may have changed your life, but you were blind to it. You rarely get second chances; most possibilities only present themselves once. A less evident example of a lost opportunity might be putting off or postponing a presentation or pitch till the last minute and not giving it your all.

3 . SUBVERTING YOUR OBJECTIVES: When we consider goals, the desire to accomplish or make a change, procrastination seems to kick in full force. Even though you may really want to change, you can never seem to find the courage to start. Perhaps you create a goal for yourself but do nothing. Usually, this is bewildering and unclear. It's possible that you'll ask yourself, "Why is it so difficult to pursue something I want so badly?" Take advantage of your chance to receive a customized analysis and action plan if you're prepared to manage your time and increase your productivity.

4 . DESTRUCTION OF YOUR PROFESSION .
Your performance and the amount you accomplish are directly impacted by the manner you operate. Thus, if you consistently put off tasks, the consequences of procrastination may prove to be harmful to your professional life. Actually, studies indicate that procrastinating excessively is associated with poorer pay, shorter employment tenures, and a greater likelihood of being underemployed or unemployed as opposed to having a full-time job.In [2] You can miss deadlines and miss your monthly goals if you procrastinate. You could lose out on work opportunities or even promotions. Long-term delay at work will almost likely destroy your career, even if you can manage to mask it for a while.

5 . DIMINISHING YOUR SELF-RESPECT .
This is one of the vicious cycles that you may encounter. When we don't think we can complete a task or project correctly due to poor self-esteem, we tend to put it off. Regrettably, putting off tasks simply serves to reinforce poor self-esteem and self-doubt. We hold ourselves back, believe we are not deserving of achievement, and start self-sabotaging when we have poor self-esteem. Though it may be unavoidable if you don't take action, procrastination gradually erodes your confidence. If this speaks to you, let go of the idea that you should be able to perform better and instead concentrate on boosting your self-esteem.
