The worst vegetable to stack in your prepping supplies.

Good tip, thanks for posting about it!
I'm enjoying my canned (glass jars) tomatoes, some grown at home, and some from the farmers market. Opening a new big jar every couple weeks all Winter!

Nothing better than food you prepare yourself! Opening a jar of home canned tomatoes is like opening a jar of sunshine. We made a lot of goulash and stews on home canned tomatoes! It's ironic that something easy to grow, that is easy to preserve, is better for long term storage than commercial canned goods....

Oh yes, tomatoes are a special crop, for sure! Goes well with so many other things, reasonably easy to produce and store, lasts a long time, fairly nutritious... can't complain! And of course, fresh off the vine in Summer...

I love them fresh off the vine! They do store well, and are good food too.

Especially when they are home grown!!!!
