No silly - this is not about a beer but a cheap cooker/heater.
Okay for this heater, cooker or emergency lamp we are using 2 beer cans, some cotton wool and any form of alcohol you can source on the cheap.
I use isopropyl alcohol as it is relatively cheap here.
Cut two cans at roughly 1/3rd up from the base.
Tools used.
1 sharp blade.
1 small screw driver of the phillips variety.
When you have 2 bottoms you can discard the tops, we are only interested in the bottoms, easy gents, no smut here. 👀
Take the cotton that ladies use to remove makeup and fit them inside the can you choose to be the base. This cotton can be balls, cotton wool too, now as I have said bottoms and balls, perverts now need to leave the room thank you.
Now we take our other bottom and make it into a top by making holes in it, you can vary the size of holes and distance until you get the desired flame you want/need.
The middle hole is essential due to the shape as anything poured in it needs somewhere to go due to the domed shape. We shall blank that later with a coin while in use.
Now put one on top of the other - you can vary the flame by moving them up and down too.
Once you have some alcohol inside (not inside you, inside it) you can cover the middle with a coin.
Ignite it and cook.
The cheapest cooker you will ever see :-)
For storage just make it airtight so nothing evaporates.
You never know 1 of these may 1 day save your life.
You can pile bricks or rocks either side to sit a pan or kettle on or make a dedicated frame, that is up to you.
And hey, you get to drink 2 beers, win win.
Have a superb day, if you have any prepping ideas leave them below.
Have a super Sunday Funday, maybe tomorrow I may mock the week again, there is enough material after all.

I've made those stoves before 👍
Superb instant heat :-)
This would make an excellent overnight frost heater for the polytunnel? Might try it next winter except I don't use cotton wool. Does it have to be that?
Anything that soaks the liquid up gal, anything, old clothes, anything, and it lasts for hours, glad someone likes the idea, I use it for my CANNABIS gasp shock.😀
It defo sounds worth a try. Kind of like an oil lamp huh.
Quite fast burning and hot, maybe something other than alcohol may burn slower and less heat, never tried.
Did you ever get them seeds we sent?
no not yet. The post is a bit fucked mebe. Some things take ages.
Happy to announce the arrival of your parcel this morning, what a lovely surprise!!! I knew it would come the next day after saying it might take ages lol. Thankyou so much for seeds, I will get on with sowing them asap and keep you updated on progress. xxx
BTW I LOVE green beans!!!!
You are most welcome my sister from another mother.
The tomato seeds are trees tgal, so after sowing get them outside or they will rip a polly or greenhouse apart.
Yes I got that, not sure if trees would survive the irish climate but will give em a go in the sheltered bit. Excited to see these tomato trees.
They are from Italy and Portugal gal, you will like them, lush and loads of tomatoes, share the seeds please, many people will like them, just make sure they have space to grow, plant some in the street so people can get free food, I do :-)
I defo will, have looked them up and learning how to grow them. I know some people who'll be very interested. Thanx
I have 4 or 5 growing in my window, with some ganja, will plant them all outside next week, I do not even like tomatoes, but my ladies do, so be it, I like eating the former though.
