NO Down-votes on Hive?

in powerclub •  3 years ago  (edited)

I don't dislike your posts.

I explained to yayogerardo that I downvoted your posts because they were not unique to hive and were double posted to blurt. My reasoning was that original to hive content deserves more rewards than content which is cross posted on many platforms.

You will note I have not dv'd posts that have not been cross posted.

I have also not downvoted "many" of your friends. I have downvoted lucylin. I would be interested in how many others?

There is also no point commenting on your posts because you muted me a while ago.

I have never said I dislike you. That is an assumption. My downvotes were as explained above.

And for that you are doxxing me all over the shop from what I can now see.

Carry on. You are free to do as you wish but I think we both know that publishing personal information about someone online in comments to others isn't cool.

-- quick edit.

I have also never insulted your content. Or you. As I see you have in the comments to others here.

You have downvoted ura soul and others. You don’t even leave comments just continually downvote and you know we can’t down vote back because we are weaker than you. At some point I muted you so not seen anything lately but it’s been going on for ages.

Not once did you comment and explain your actions or try and have a civil chat about why and try to find some understanding. It’s normal for an artist to promote their work across various channels like we post on fb / insta / twitter. It snot normally to only choose one place to promote your art. For a start you have to list it for sale.

Do voting tho people doesn’t care encourage them to start only posting to one, it makes them not trust that place at all and not feel they can put any faith in it at all as a platform. That’s why I came to love blurt so much as it feels like a safe harbour where you don’t have to worry if people will constantly flag you to 0.

But anyways like I said I did finally snap after seeing about 10 in a row and I shouldn’t have been so reactive I actually do apologise for that because it actually isn’t cool. Whatever I think there actually is no excuse to snap back and be mean. So for what it’s worth I do actually apologise for being mean about your youtube because that was childish.

That is disingenuous. I think I have downvoted ura-soul twice over the last few months and in fact I upvoted his post about Boris Johnson a few days ago. I downvoted the ones that I see as showing deliberate misinformation about covid vaccines. I have left comments on his posts too. He hasn't muted me so I can do that.

I have not downvoted ten of your posts in a row either? That is a lie. I have downvoted 5 and not consecutively.

However, I will leave it there, we could go back and forth and you will never understand why I did it. And that's fine.

Thank you for the apology. It doesn't change much because of the doxxing. I see you say it's all out there on Google. It is. I have never hid myself online. But having two small kids I have never blatantly published my Facebook and YouTube and indeed my old old blog on Google either.

I guess I was being protective. I see why now.

You downvoted me a lot before I muted you. I actually thought muting might mean people couldn’t see my wall but it clearly didn’t.

Your fb is under meester boom just so you know. But I do agree I shouldn’t have posted it I’m not actually sure why i did I was just wondering who the he’ll kept on downvoting me continually and I thought maybe you were someone who had come to a hive meetup which. Is acrually why I googled your name to see if I knew you and why you were personally attacking me so much. I actually did think it was personal tbh. I shouldn’t have laughed at the youtube tho because that was immature just cause it’s not my cup of tea and I do genuinely 100 percent apologise for that.

I genuinely don't think I downvoted you a lot before. I know I did at one point when you were posting about 10 times a day or something? I didn't carry on some crazy Vendetta though.

It's fine. I appreciate the apology.

Muting means you can't see them or their stuff. It's not very good though. When I was being trolled for having a different opinion to someone and they called me a c&nt on every comment I made which they also downvoted I muted them. Hive sometimes takes a while to load though and you could see their stuff before it was hidden. So it's not perfect.

As I said, I have nothing personally against you. Apart from the doxxing 🙂. I do know my meesterboom name is all over the place. I am not trying to hide myself but at the same time I do not actively promote my personal details about the blockchain. You know in that comment where you mentioned my name mind of thing.

Still, I will leave it at that. It's getting late and I prefer life offline to life online.

I have never posted ten times a day I regularly posted three times a day though as do other people. I don’t do that for rewards you actually get less I think one post a day is optimum but if you look on my Instagram you’ll see that’s exactly how i am. It’s just my personality I have like 7 instagrams and do a lot of things.i literally post on fb a lot too, if I’m being natural I would post loads per day at times a day but I try and limit to 3 or 4 absolute max on hive as I know people seem to be ok with that, or I thought they were! Again you never ever communicated with me or went into any kind of dialogue and back then I didn’t have any mutes at all on. I really don’t think you get extra rewards posting more I think it dilutes them. The people who post once or twice a day get much bigger rewards.

Like I said I can see how it looks now from a fresh perspective but in the moment I hoenestly thought I recognised your name and that it was from our hive coffeee meetups and I just couldn’t believe someone I felt I got on with well was constantly down voting me, I wanted to check for sure, which is why I went to google and checked the account name on fb because I genuinely wanted to see who you were. Those were the top three links. I didn’t actually rly think about it tbh as I was more like omg I found this person. I did laugh at the YouTube videos tho and I’ll just be honest and I’ll apologise about that I did think they were a bit crazy but then arn’t we all.

Tbh these are the kinds of discussions people should be having and are not. Not come from the best of circumstances I admit but maybe everything has its reasons in life. If your going to downvote someone because you personally don’t like the way they use the platform engage with them, talk to them, be a human instead of aggressive. I’m not defending my own behaviour because I snapped and reacted in the moment, that isn’t excusable but the whole thing does highlight the biggest problem that no One ever seems to have balanced fair communication. People just get an idea in their own head about how they think other people should use hive and downvote anyone wh doesn’t conform. At least tell people so they can converse and maybe you will change your mind or maybe they will see another side.
