Because of the pandemic I only working minimum 6 days a months, which is the reason I have to commute 2 hours by bike to my working place.
If only there is a working public transportation I would gladly took that, as I can sleep and be safe using that public transportation rather than going back and forth using my bike, a bit tiring.
But also because of the commute I can see things that I might miss if I took the public transportation. I should stop more later and took the picture so that I can share it with you guys here.
Just like how I see these farmers who preparing the rice field for the planting season. It was a bit late when I saw and took the picture of them. Around 5 or 6 pm. But they were working hard to be able to plant the paddy together with the other farmer in the area.
These two farmers are still finishing the work on the rice field, we can see they are using the hoe near the rice field embankment. and the rice field is already plough.
While this farmer is still plowing the rice field using a small tractor. Things are already modernized, because Balinese farmers used to use a plow dragged by two cow to plow the rice field. Even my father already using tractor to plow his rice field.
There is another farmer in the distance doing almost exactly the same, preparing the rice field for the planting season. He was surrounded by storks which is looking for prey in the newly cultivated rice field.
Its the vast area of rice field, which is mostly still owned by the local farmers, and almost still being cultivated the old way. I wonder if they are also enjoying and appreciated the sunset.
On the far right is the Mount Agung, the highest volcano in Bali. She has settle down now, after giving a short wake up in 2017. But thanks to her, we have such a fertile land to cultivate.
