It is popularly known as the festival of lights because people decorate their houses with Diyas and lightings. it could also called Deepavali, which literally translates to a row of lights. According to Hindu Calendar, it is celebrated on the Amavasya Tithi of Kartik Month. On that day, everyone come together to celebrate light, life and goodness. Diwali, also know as Dipawali, is among India's biggest and most important holiday in every year. The name of this festival is gotten from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness ,good from evil and knowledge over ignorance .
