"HEY" xyz: A Social Network Utilizing the Lens Protocol

in polygon •  10 months ago

Despite Lens being created by Aave, it stores user names on the Polygon blockchain; of course, a small fee is required for this.

Setting aside that they use the Lens Protocol as an authentication method for the social network "HEY," this network claims to be decentralized and permissionless, and it seems they store data on IPFS. However, on their rules page, there's a contradiction:

"If your account got suspended, you are not allowed to create any new accounts."

I mean, this 'HEY' is more like a network similar to EOS's 'VOICE,' it appears decentralized, claims to be decentralized, but in reality, it's a web2 social network dressed up as WEB3.

For those interested in this social network "HEY," here is the link, but just like the "LENS" protocol, it doesn't have a token yet; this social network also doesn't have one and requires joining a waitlist.
